Serving & Volunteering
At First United Methodist, we have been given the opportunity to shine the love of God both locally and globally through faith in Jesus Christ. We are loved by God and share His love through service to others. We believe it is through serving that people of all ages experience deeper faith.
We believe serving is more than just doing a job; it's putting our faith into action. As each of us responds to God’s prompting to use our gifts, the entire Body of Christ is strengthened and expanded. When a person’s passions, talents, abilities, spiritual gifts, and love for Christ are unleashed upon the world, the resulting ministry brings glory to God and furthers His Kingdom.
"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms."
1 Peter 4:10
Please review the Service Catalog, then after prayerfully reviewing and considering where your gifts, talents and abilities can be used to serve others, complete a Service Inventory. You may then submit the inventory to the church office via mail or by bringing it to the church office. You will then be connected with the current coordinator of the service area of your choice.
