6th Graders and older students who desire to be Confirmed
** Confirmation refers to that event in which persons profess and confirm their faith in Jesus Christ within the worship setting.  In the United Methodist Church, participants are instructed on the doctrines of the Christian church as well as the beliefs and practices of the United Methodist Church.  Participants are also engaged in service projects.  Here at First United Methodist, Confirmation classes will begin meeting weekly on Wednesday evenings in September (after Labor Day) of each year, with the culminating event scheduled for May - "Confirmation Sunday".  The Confirmation class is open to those in 6th grade and older.  The first semester is held inside Children's Ministry, the second semester is held inside Youth Ministry.  Please contact Heidi Weber, Children's Ministry or Bruce Weber,Youth Pastor, for more information. hweber@firstumcslidell.org or bweber@firstumcslidell.org
