‘24 Hours That Changed the World’
A Lenten Study that will help prepare your hearts
for the glory of Easter morning!

Each chapter is designed to help you experience and understand the significance of Jesus' suffering and death in a way you have never done before. Whether readers are long-time Christians or simply curious about the story of Christ's crucifixion, they are invited to join the author in retracing the last 24 hours of Jesus' life.

REACHING OUT TO THE PEOPLE OF HAITI

UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) is asking all United Methodist congregations to provide health kits for victims of the earthquake in Port-au-Prince Haiti.   They also are requesting funds which will go toward providing emergency aid.

We are asking our congregation to join together in providing health kits.  In worship on January 17th, 24th & 31st, gallon-sized plastic bags and instructions for purchasing items will be available.  These will also be available in the church office during the week.
(Cost of items for each kit is approximately $12.00.)

We also will receive donations in the church office or in the offeirng plates on Sunday mornings.  Please make checks payable to First UMC and put "Haiti Relief" in the memo section.  If you are making a cash donation, place in an evelope with the same notation on the front.

Please visit www.umc.org/haiti to receive ongoing information about how the people of the United Methodist Church are and will continue to be in Haiti offering God's love and care.

We know what it is to be in the midst of ruin and devastation...
However what these people face is unimaginable.  Please keep the Haitian people and the many loved ones who live around the world awaiting news of family lifted in prayer.
